There’s a certain safety in holding on to the past or trying to maintain the status quo. However, it’s not healthy to latch on to an old perspective, however secure it seems. Unfortunately, you may not be ready to let it go just yet.

Oh really?  Maybe YOU’RE not ready to let go.  But seriously, this is not at all relevant to my life.

Even if you freely admit that you don’t have all the answers today, you can still paint yourself into a corner if your thinking is overly rigid.

So even if I let go, I can still be overly rigid?  Girl, you musta been listening to that Talking Heads song Stop Making Sense!  Hahahahahahahaha!!  (sorry)

It’s okay to entertain other options without any pressure of making a commitment until the time is right.
